I always forget I have a welder now and find myself going around the weld thing still ...but damn guys suck ! all of.ya . my poor rumble looks like a pile of mess in comparison. I'm pretty much guessing where things go .haha it can get interesting what I "think" is rite .. haha ugh I'll never be " done" huh!

I think I got those areas smooth now for primer . got the side windows out and bumpers off today too . And I think I've finally gotten All oil leakes tightened up . I hope I've gotten it all stopped . picked up the last of the supplies for paint time . I only need to finish popping off some chrome stuff on the outside and I'll be painting this baby in my side yard again . and got some window ribbon for new seals for all my windows . .
Hey! No Fair!! I started getting mine ready to paint in Feb 2015, and you are nearly up to where I am now.
maybe past u now . I started taping today . it's smooth and primered waiting for the rain tomorrow then paint the next day . But I was wanting to pull the windshield but it's a bit different than I thought so idk . I kinda ripped the stupid molding a bit ..on top too .only on the outside but ergh .. more modification aka Jerry rig ! but I just did it today so I don't know what to do yet .. I guess the windshield is just shoved in or something like that.. so this window ribbon i got is pointless except it'll work in my ratchets better than gum will to hold nuts , so I'll use it for that I guess or picking up copper parts . or something . . don't worry . with all my messups , you'll pass me again . haha
oh and the leaks I had , notice the word had ? haha they're holding ! and so is my timing ! funny how that works . man it's the little things I don't know that drive me nuts . poor car getting so abused .. but I love him and mean well .. haha
Was noticing a leak from the passenger side rear corner of the head after spirited driving. Finally decided to check the head bolt torque - I thought I had done it once after the rebuild - but apparently not. They were set at under 40 pounds, guess the head gasket settled. Didn't have time to run it again to see if that fixed it, but I am optimistic. Now I may need to reset the valves.....
"When all else fails, force prevails!" Ummm, we're gonna need a bigger hammer here.
To think, three years ago I took the car off the streets for a valve job, that turned into a motor rebuild, that turned into reupholstered seats, rebuilt gauges, new aluminum radiator, fixes snowballing into other projects, and a whole mess of items that had been neglected over the years. Was really hoping to get it to Solvang this year, but alas there is always next year.

Nothing ! it rained so much electrical (new amp) and rewire didn't go far today or prep for that matter . I started him tho, and let him dry up in the motor .. that's about it .. tomorrow hoping for a break in the rain and make progress ! I'm glad I allowed time for "just in case " things . n
