Shasta 2018, when is it?
Every link I find is broken, any idea on the dates?
I remember when no one wanted the 1500s......

I read through most of your car build posts, but I must have missed your headlight issue. What's going on there?2mAn wrote: Mon Mar 12, 2018 12:30 pm I need functioning headlights to drive so far... in addition to other stuff working to make the 550 mile trip... Ive done crazier before though

Re: Shasta 2018, when is it?
They dont work
Apparently they were working but with a very questionable fuse, and once it was replaced for a good normal fuse they stopped working, and upon trying to reinstall the questionable fuse, they still didnt work. Ive been wanting to fix it but Ive been sidetracked with other stuff
I have already taken out the fusebox and cleaned it as best I can, but other than that I havent done anything

Do the park lights work? (Half pull on the switch)

Darn, that stinks. July is still a few months off. Maybe the electrical gremlins will fix them between now and then

Re: Shasta 2018, when is it?
Yes it does. My exhaust stinks more! So my current priority is to finish the header swap, and then I plan to drive to Solvang. If nothing crazy happens then, I will likely give it a realistic shot at going to Shasta.AC77 wrote: Mon Mar 12, 2018 3:59 pm Darn, that stinks. July is still a few months off. How hot is it out there in July? I would consider flying my wife to Sacramento and picking her up from there, so she doesnt have to endure 550 miles, just ~170 of them haha

Re: Shasta 2018, when is it?
I know "hot" varies between folks but the temperature in the town of Shasta, at least for me, was never too hot. Plus, Keith Williams makes ice cream!2mAn wrote: Mon Mar 12, 2018 4:21 pm How hot is it out there in July? The drive on I-5 however is insanely hot, especially going through Williams, Red Bluff and Redding where temps were 105+. When I was younger (less stupid?) I would do daytrips to the Shasta meet. No top, no hat. Found myself driving in the shade of semi-trucks just to get a a few seconds of reprieve from the sun

I recommend traveling through these towns early am or after sunset, or use a top! It's a great show I highly recommend it!

Alvin is spot on.. Night runs up I-5 are WAY better than day.. I too have done the "Fast and Furious" driving under the 18 wheelers for some shade..
