Now you need to go to Solvang, Roadster stuff and Tri-Tip. The pancake balls are a bit odd though....

I have found some cost effective storage for the truck. Secure Private single car garage for $60 a month!

I have lined up the truck and trailer (great to have friends) to retrieve the Datsun on 3/20.

I have attached the pics I have. I will add more after we move the car on the 20th.

Cool. Now you start making and changing plans.
I know it's been suggested previously but I think the best thing you can do is get the car home. Access what needs to be done so that it's driveable. Get it running and driving and then decide how far you want to go.
Beautiful paint jobs, straight body work, shiny chrome and snazzy interiors are all nice but costly. If the car runs and drives, it'll be easier to maintain the interest level to move on with your story.

Congratulations and welcome to the family!
Always glad to see another local roadster.

Get it roadworthy, and get it to Road America this summer. Spring Vintage is just around the corner. There's nothing more fun than getting these little cars up to speed on a real race track. Even if it's just "track touring".

Thanks Dan,
This was the same advice I received when I brought my grandfather's truck to Wisconsin. It hadn't run in over 40 years. We got it running and have been enjoying it for 3 years now.

That us the same plan we have for the Datsun. I prefer to driving cars over looking at them. :)

Can you tell me more about Road America and Spring Vintage? These are new to me.

I meant to add. Nice looking car!

www.roadamerica.com

Only one of, if not THE, sweetest 4-ish mile road racing course in America. And....it's right in our backyard. Great variety of cars. Close up viewing. Open access to the pits and generally just a nice group of drivers and fans. During the lunch time break they offer track touring with your vehicle. There is typically a 70 mph limit, and fairly strict rules against racing, passing in braking zones etc but on most weekends those rules are "don't do anything stupid".

The car is home and in the garage. I have seen mention of starting a build page, which is the correct section for those?
