I think you were joking, but for those who want a tip, you just attach the springs to the HShield first let them hang, install HS, and then attach the springs to the carb levers last. easy as pie. j

Thanks for that! Next time I won’t have to drill any holes to get in on.JT68 wrote: Mon Feb 26, 2018 7:25 pm I think you were joking, but for those who want a tip, you just attach the springs to the HShield first let them hang, install HS, and then attach the springs to the carb levers last. easy as pie. j

I might have to keep the tin can after the fact and make it the exhaust tip

Re: Sins of the Previous Owners...
My car came with quite a few sins from a number of previous owners. Most are laborious but fixable... it’s this full bondo’d dash that is causing me some heartburn.

Re: Sins of the Previous Owners...
I pulled apart my limited slip diff because it seemed unusually loose for something that was intended to be bullt up with preload from internal springs and friction discs.
Upon opening I learned why...where I was expecting to find a set of Belleville springs, I found a complete set of...ummm...let’s say homemade shims?
There were 4 Miller Lite and 4 Budweiser shims per side, precision cut with what I am fairly certain were gardening shears. Why would you use shim stock or something durable when cheap aluminum rolled stock is so close to hand?
Not genuine Nissan... What they should look like...
