Is the shift knob a M8-1.25 thread like the early Z-cars?

what elce can you use a motor stethoscope on besides the valve cover and carbs ? or is that it .. I spent a whopping $3.99 at harbor freight yesterday on one so my face doesn't need to go into exhaust listening to carbs .. yek . my hair doesn't like exhaust at all . .. and no , it's not a Midol day. .. hahha :smt022 :smt014 :smt021

anybody know the diameter of the hard line that goes to the oil pressure gauge. Still trying to find the nut that connects the hard line to the line going into the block and places I'm calling are asking about the diameter of the hard line. I assume it's 3/16 but wanted to see if anybody knows for sure.

mines copper and fits a 13 or 1/2 wrench is all I remember about it ... I didn't remember the thread tho . but those copper things in the auto parts store for break linens or something , where u rent that tool to mushroom ending to the copper lines??! , you'll need to get that pack to redo the ends.. then you can put on what size you need ..... take the threading so you get that rite ..

I'm pretty certain that they are NPT - and AFAIK - any old piece of line will do to get the nut - but as previously mentioned you will need a flare tool to 'flare' the new end AFTER you have put the new nut on.

You might be able to rent that from Autozone

Im about to drill some holes into the rear panel to install my fairlady badge and have 2 questions:

#1 Is there a template or location to drill the holes?
#2 what should I use to hold the badge on, does it use the same retainers that the other badges do, or is there something else?
