Gas tank mounting strap insulation.
I will be getting my gas tank back from being cleaned. The old material (that fell apart) looked like a canvas webbing. I have been through the parts manuals and it is not identified.
So, what is a good replacement material to use?
Thanks

What would cause a transmission not to shift when the engine is off? Both with and without clutch pushed in.
New clutch master and slave bled.
It does go into reverse and I believe 5th gear.
It is normal. The rear tires through the drive shaft keep the out-put shaft from moving. Just roll it a couple inches and you will get a different two or more.
Unfortunately that didn’t work. Does anyone else have a suggestion? My last resort is to pull the engine/transmission.
I used some neoprene strip which was about 1.6mm thick [1/16"] and about 30mm wide and bonded it to the straps. Got it at my friendly Rubber Supply Store.
trying to find the nut that connects the oil pressure gauge hose to the hard line that goes directly to the gauge. Mine has a crack and is leaking. Several places sell the hose but can't find the nut that goes over the line and meets the hose at the bracket that holds it off the frame.

Isn't the Oil Pressure gauge electrical?
I don't know the year range exactly, but I know later years do have the line going directly to the gauge. Mine is a 67 and the back of my gauge does not have the line, just a wire.
