Photobucket issue tip

Post by mlwebb »

Just passing along a useful bit I stumbled upon: There are browser addon/extensions for Firefox or Chrome that will retrieve all those missing photobucket photos in forums, seamlessly.
Firefox:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... edded-fix/
Chrome:
chrome.google.com/webstore/search/photo ... mbed%20fix
or
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/sear ... %20hotlink

As an incorrigible forum lurker, I am always disappointed to find an excellent thread on say, tig vs mig vs OA for welding tubing, or miata roll bar spring rates, and find that all the images have disappeared. So I am happy for something that in a brief trial, seems to work well. Just load the extension, restart your browser, and pics should appear.

Thank you mlwebb!!

I am now able to pull and save the photos I need on my hard drive for later use, as I am sure the duecshe bags at photobucket will fix the fix

Thank you for passing that along, Michael!!

I've tried it on Firefox and it works well! I've now passed these links/add-ons to others on a couple of other forums I moderate. Virally Good stuff!
