Can someone tell me if the internal parts and working of the turn signal "can" (relay) is exactly the same as for the emergency flasher "can' on the same car (the '69 2000?0.

I know when I changed the turn signal relay to an LED compliant, both turn and flashers would work.

Most flashers have a bi-metallic contact that, when current flows through it to the lights, will heat up and bend causing the circuit to open. When the contact cools, it makes contact again and current flows...hence flashing lights.
Suspect either a defective flasher or that no current is flowing to lights.

Are you talking about the can relay in engine bay or can relay under the dash? LEDs using less current will need both cans replaced with led compatible flasher cans. Also when replacing turn bulbs with LEDs you may have feedback Vdc that turns both sides on. You may need a diode inline to limit it.

So have most people replaced both flasher cans as Tom mentioned, for LED conversion? I have not done headlights, just brake, tail and front turn.
Turn signals not flashing.

If you have the standard flasher, the leds don't draw enough current to make the flasher work as Joe described.
If you replace the bulbs with leds, you must replace the electro mechanical flasher with a solid state one designed for leds.

I changed all my bulbs (with the exception of my head lights) and included an electronic flasher.
It's much brighter and works great.

I have been using similar flasher relay with LEDs for the last few years with no problems.

I don't recall a non-polarity specific one available at the time. That makes it easier.
For the original poster, both the turn signal and the hazards can use the same flasher relay.

I have 1 LED compliant flasher, do I need 2?
I have a mix of LED and incandescent lights(Notoptoy says that is a problem)
Brake lights work.
Turn signals do not work.
I have 1157 LEDs in all 4 tail lights and front turn signals. All other bulbs are stock.
Turn signals light but do not flash.
Any other ideas for checking ?

Just to Clarify, It's not me that says it's a problem, the Manufacturer of the LED's I bought told me that was an issue - in my one experience, he was right - as I was going to send the lights back as defective. A quick test Linda, swap back out the LED's with Incandescents and see if the problem goes away.

Mines a 69 and all 4 rear lights work together in the same way. Isn't the 68 upper and lower on two separate circuits? Thought there was a subtle difference in wiring.

Wiring for the turn and brake is completely different between the 68 and 69-70. 66-67, one can.
67.5, one or two cans. Depends on whether you have the little adapter harness that goes between the switch and the dash harness.
68-70, two cans.
