What is next for this car?? Peel back the carpets and find cash??? Limited slip??? I feel so happy someone got a goldmine car. If you get a chance, could you take a sideview picture of the lights?
Just a thought, consider some loctite on the mounting screws for the lights when you put them on the car. I saw somewhere you can get a locking nut for driving lamps, like a regular nut, but with a setscrew in the side to lock it in place.
Also, might want to kick up the insurance coverage by another $1000.00 Fender benders could be tragic.
I'm guessing you have classic insurance, agreed value, Haggerty etc.

Dave,
Don't know about the cash, haven't moved the carpets yet. But what is limited slip and how can I tell.
Once again let me say to all I under stand how lucky I am, I really do. I must say however I think you cursed me Dave. I don't have brake lights now, my temp sending unit screw broke and my fuel pump is leaking today.
I need a new brake light sending unit ( one of the hydraulic ones), to remove a screw from a temp sending unit and either rebuild or buy a new fuel pump. Any one know a rebuild kit?
I will try to get those pictures up some time tonight.

Rebuild parts are available from Nissan, or you can buy a new pump from Pep Boys. The screw is minor, and the switch can be fun. I think that EARLY dimes used the same one.

Sorry for the jinx, it may well be my fault. I asked my Mother how old her water heater was, 3 days later the bottom fell out, new indoor pool.
As for the limited slip, jack one rear wheel off the ground, car in neutral parking brake off, block the front wheels. If you can turn the wheel that is off the ground by hand and the driveshaft spins, no limited slip. Or you can jack up both rear wheels, trans in gear, if you turn one wheel by hand and the other spins the opposite dirrection, no limited slip. Limited slip powers both rear wheels all the time with a "limeted amount of slip" for turning. If in either or both of these tests you can't spin the wheel, I hate you.
As far as the other stuff, good time to check under the mats.

Thanks, those things are THIN. The lamps I got would be better on a 48 Buick, but I think I can make them look ok.
Double check the part #'s, the Ebay was a buy it now, so it may be gone.

Did you ever change the base on the Everwings 411 fog lights, I’m curious what you used for a base to mount them on your roadster.
