Gee Evan, it has shiny paint, the interior looks fine, he says it runs fine, it has custom wheels that look good and the tires all match. I don't care for the blacked out chrome, or the removal of the side trim, but I would not say that the car is ugly...

I kind of like it. Carried the theme thru quite well.
Cute color too!

There was a pretty nice running 68 2000 being sold by the original owner, auction ended today without a sale. The bids went to $3700 but that didn't meet the reserve. Apparently this was a re-listing with lowered reserve.

Notice the downdraft carburetor? Anyone know who makes that manifold?

Cant see much on the manifold just the downdraft.

Other then the chrome being painted black it looks like a very nice car!

Dave,

If I had to guess on the manifold, I would say it is probably an L20B manifold modified to work on the U motor. Offy made one for the L20B that was a dual plane...

I thought they looked awfully close. Any idea how big a deal it is to modify one??

Dave,

I have not modified one, but have looked them over. I believe that the port spacing is very close. The biggest issue is the water passage, but that should not be insurmountable.
