Datsuns at SEMA 2017!

We attended the SEMA show today and I was surprised to see over a dozen Datsuns!

Did someone swipe the fenders off the JK to bolt onto their Z? I'm guessing that happened.

We felt the same way! It was great to see an often unloved model get the spotlight. Also neat that it was built for "gasmonkeygarage" and will be aired in a few weeks. I've never seen the show but now I have a reason too!

Was Troy's 510 the only one still sporting an L Series? I love the wheels and the bronze accents...

No they are standard issue Nissan ZG-style flares.

The white S30 and C10 Hako, and the Kaidohouse S30 (hot wheels designer Jun Imai) also sported L-series engines:

Pretty sure Woody, from this forum, is there, no SR20 Roadster this time, but he was bringing his BMW 3.0CSI.

He was definitely there. I made sure to ask him who he thought he was doing an engine swap on an E9...

Anyway, after I expressed my outrage, Kevin and I attended the Gran Turismo party with him, where he won the "Best European Import" award from Gran Turismo..
