Re: Stock Tire Size
175/80 would be a bit tall. In the U.S., 185/65/14 are pretty common. That's what is on my 67 right now.

Re: Stock Tire Size
185/70/14 has worked well for me and several others.

There are several online tire size calculators that allow you to compare dimensions. For your speedometer to be accurate I'd recommend a tire close in diameter to 24". Also, I wouldn't go wider than 185 on a stock 4.5" wide wheel.
If you have a 4" wheel you may want to go with a narrower tire than 185. The spec sheet of most tires will advise what range of wheel widths are recommended.

It will fit just fine. The sidewall will just be taller

Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.

Re: Stock Tire Size
185/65 R14 are also very common (and cheap) over here, I can even have Michelins at a fair price
Pneus by roland Geo, sur Flickr
and actually also found 175/65/R14
Pneus 2 by roland Geo, sur Flickr
any advice among these 2 sizes ? (my favorite brand would be Michelin but in 175 I prefer the design of Pirelli)

Re: Stock Tire Size
I prefer the 185/65 since I think the 175/65 looks a touch too short.
