Five shiny, sleeping 311s are waking up

Post by 311foursome »

A reintroduction. I have five, yes 5, shiny things in states of not being driven, plus two 70 chassis and one 70 body plus spares to fill a Ryder truck. Among treasures are 4.38 and 4.11 LS differentials, and Old Silver my original car from '79 with its second restored and blueprinted engine with Norris cam, ported Solex intake and lightened flywheel. Eternal lameness has prevented me from starting the engine since 1992. Since then I collected Blackie, Creamy and Red all quite nice cars. Goldie I have so much $$$ in I won't say. I need that Arkansas guy to assemble it for me as I couldn't do it to that level. Where can I find that feller? The main motivating reason I have come here now is that I have large business losses looming and I am in the process of reducing my footprint and expenses to become an expat in a very cheap living Latin country. So there. So's fair warning, I will attempt to off a few cars I hope, I always buy high and sell low it seems. I will post in multiple places here all this hoo-ha. Now for something I am only dummie stupid enough to do: Wheels. I dropped a set of 4.5 steelies in Livonia and had two widened to 5 7/8 and two to about 6 3/4. All to the inside as dictated by their construction. $450. I ordered a pair of 195/60 14's from WalMart with a sporty tread $50 each. I have sticky treadwear 100 185/60 14's for the front. Spacing the wheels outward I just received 30 2 7/8 Moser engineering studs. After I mount these tires to the rims I can sort out custom wheel spacers to get inboard and fender lip clearances just so. On go the lamp bass OEM hub caps. Also going for 2 degrees negative camber up front. You bums: what can I do to convince y'all to use Koni, Spax, or equivalent shocks??? These cars are junk if you don't have these! Dave took me for a fast ride in his 150hp conversion with KYB's surely I thought we were going to die!

Anyway, here I am, 67.5, 68, 70 models for sale, red cream, black, good, better, best conditions, garaged Robbinsville NC. Selling house in Greenville Dec 19. Moving back to Rvil thanks for reading....looking forward to getting to know you fellow nutjobs!

Interesting post - however, you have multiple things listed for sale, but have not priced them all. Forum rules require pricing. And while this is technically an introduction, the sales portion of this should be in "Classified for Sale" section. Please add pricing, and/or adjust your post. Thanks
