While you are at it, confirm the diameter of the rear wheel cylinders too. They should be 3/4" in the '67.5 and later cars.

Search past posts for recommendations.

KFP pads have received positive reviews in blue and gold compounds.

EBC greens might also be worth looking at.

Do your own research.
I did that as well, same problem, and now they are breaking great, and can block if necessary.

EBC greens might also be worth looking at.

EBC Ultimax Pads: Ultimax pads are the ideal choice for daily drivers. Though built with a solid bite, they’re not as aggressive as other EBC pads.

EBC Green Stuff Pads: Green Stuff pads are EBC’s most popular sport pads, and they’re perfect when you want more spirited response from your brake pedal.

EBC Red Stuff Pads: A step up from the Green is EBC’s Red Stuff pads, which are formulated to handle rides with 200+ horsepower or hefty weight, like trucks and SUVs.

EBC Yellow Stuff Pads: Yellow Stuff pads are the right choice for high-speed rides that drive both street and strip.

I bumped my suggestion 1 level because our pedal is know to be hard.

Jackson,

Rock Auto carries front pads.

Front pads..
Rock Auto

Early 510 rear shoes should work. Rock Auto does not carry them.

I use the yellow pad dp4120r type dunlop, but maybe the red one is more then good for your car, the yellow one have used for 1 or two times before the work perfect.

EBC's catalog: https://ebcbrakes.com/Assets/ecatalogue ... .html#p=48
Online store: https://www.shopebcbrakes.com/
Also available at several other outlets.

As noted above, Yellow - DP4120R.
Green = DP2120
They don't appear to come in other compounds.

A good reference car for searches is a 1965 Jaguar XKE. The Roadster stock brakes are a Dunlop design licensed by Sumitomo.

For KFP, contact them by phone to place an order. Part number is KFP23 and then specify the compound. (330) 453-9757

There are a lot of comments about being able to lock up the tires as a measure of braking power. Seems like this would depend heavily on the tire. Original stock tires will lock up fairly easily, my 205X60 on Minilite wheels don't have a chance. Correct?

You should not lock the brakes, but I think you should be able to lock them.
