Actually a 2000 roadster is much faster on the track than the spec Miatas, I was out on the track with several spec Miatas at Phoenix and they could not catch me and I could pass them with ease.

Hey Alving,

I doubt it...It is a serious haul, just for a show. I am currently working on a 510 racer for Coronado.

I will make the trip to Solvang though...

I have a 94 R-type as my daily driver. After two years, no need for a daily driver anymore and no Roadster for three, I am back to thinking about a Fairlady.

Miata - starts, stops, turns, can be driven slidewayz all day in the rain with the LSD topless, but still very ho-hum.

Welcome. It is spring and there are lots of very nice roadsters on the market right now.

Before I bought my roadster, I was seriously contemplating about buying a Miata. It's more practical - lots of spare and aftermarket parts, safe (no "death spear"), reliable, great handling, economical to drive and maintain, and minimal rust to chop off! But in the end, I still opted for a Fairlady. There's something about it that brings character and sophistication to the driving experience...well balanced exhaust note, chromed gauges, three spoke "retro" steering wheel, toggle switches, and that long front end - the roadster indeed has more emotion than the Miata (in my opinion of course). I can't wait to drive it tomorrow! :D
