At first glance I thought, why did he put a 4 inch pvc roll bar in it?

Me too, especially when they're painted the color of the car.

Very unusual JDM wheels. Bought these from a serviceman stationed in Japan who shipped them back sometime in the 70's. 14" x 6" Almex and Falken Sincera tires 195/70/R14.

Hi all, just thought I'd add some datapoints to the thread.

SPECS: Rota RB
15x6 +20 Front
15x7 +20 Rear
195/55-15 Dunlop Direzza DI (yes, "one") Star Spec (bought from a local guy with 6-7/32nds)
Date codes? Ehhh, don't need no steenkin' date codes. :smt005

Note: I ordered these from a local vendor (via EBay) who delivered them in 2.5 days! If you want their info, PM me. Should also note that they shipped me the large caps after I requested them; following my reading about people not able to use the small/short caps over the front hubs. I installed after these capless shots were taken.

Image

This (above and the next view below) shows that I could have EASILY gone with the available +12 offsets. (Or if I'd gone 6", a +0 offset would work easily... you can take your choice depending on your tire size/needs.)

Image

But IMO, front size/offset works great as I'm not fond of ANY tire outside the wells and this sits just right for me. (And if I/you were to lower the car, I think these are great for that with no lip interference that I can tell after measuring my available clearance.)
Image

This view gives the overall fit. The rear IS a bit tucked but this isn't my350Z.com where everyone thinks "flush is king". Hahahaha....
Image

Handling is good with pretty neutral steering. Will likely tweak roll rates (at some point in the future with new hardware) to give me a little more end around (bias towards oversteer) the way I like my cars; but overall, decent.

Hope this helps someone as I spent FAR too much time on this and other wheel threads here before making my decision. Hahahaha!

I should note that I truly did try to buy some *real* Minilites and Panasports but I picked these up because I couldn't wait for vendor responses (price quotes and such)! When I want something, I want it NOW! :smt002 (If they ever do get back to me, well, maybe I'll have to buy them and sell these... I have this wheel sickness....)

This was my first Roadster back in 2007. picked up a set of vintage Appliance Dia-Mag wheels for cheap! I don't recall the sizing/offset, but the fit and looked great. I do know there is mint condition 14x6" set on E-bay right now for 1000. (no affiliation)

Haven't seen those in a lonnnnnng time. I recall late '70s, they were pretty popular on S30s. Looks good!

I'm considering TE37V's for my Datsun. RCMike has these at 15x7.5 +6mm offset. They also come in 15x7 +18mm offset. Which width would you all recommend? I love wide wheels but I also don't want to have to worry about rubbing. My heart is saying 7.5, but my brain is saying 7. Thoughts?

Also, if anyone in the Bay Area is interested in purchasing a set as well, let me know, we may be able to get a better deal.

15x6 if you don't want to worry about rubbing. 7s are always a gamble especially on the rear of the earlier cars.

I ordered the 73mm, but they did not fit the front hubs. Had a local machine shop bore the inside of the hub to fit.
Do you remember what did and depth they bore it too ?
