Drag DR20 fitment
Has anyone fit the Drag DR20 wheel and if so what size/offset are you running?

Actually the rear is the problem.Pjackb wrote:they are only available 15x7 with a 0 offset in 4x114.3

They will fit on the front on most cars if not low.
The rears will need the fenders rolled to add about 3/4" more clearance.

Re: Drag DR20 fitment
Thanks for the correction, I was under the impression that 7" 0 offset would poke up frontfj20spl311 wrote:Actually the rear is the problem.Pjackb wrote:they are only available 15x7 with a 0 offset in 4x114.3

I have access to an Eastwood roller and done plenty of modern cars and anything above 12-15mm start to get sketchy so 3/4" (20mm) is a lot, have many done it?

Re: Drag DR20 fitment
The front might poke out, depends on the tire size, car and alignment. It will be very close, I would suggest something like 195/45 x 15 or stretched 185/55 x15.Pjackb wrote:Thanks for the correction, I was under the impression that 7" 0 offset would poke up frontfj20spl311 wrote:Actually the rear is the problem.Pjackb wrote:they are only available 15x7 with a 0 offset in 4x114.3

I have seen fenders rolled a lot in the rear.....it really is mostly the rear of the wheel opening.

Kind of surprised -2 is not that aggressive ,RCMike wrote:Camber... -2 or so.. Bring the tire under the fender..Pjackb wrote:I was under the impression that 7" 0 offset would poke up front
is this valid for pre-68 models as well?

Re: Drag DR20 fitment
As with every roadster, fitment/clearances wildly vary.Pjackb wrote:Kind of surprised -2 is not that aggressive ,RCMike wrote:Camber... -2 or so.. Bring the tire under the fender..Pjackb wrote:I was under the impression that 7" 0 offset would poke up front

Here are zero offset 15x7 Koing Rewinds using 195/50/tires:

Same wheels (205 tires) on my car, also lifted otherwise it would rest on tire:

Note that the front suspension is also different (double A-arm) from today's common strut-type setups where lowering springs can induce heavy camber.

Re: Drag DR20 fitment
Hey Alvin do you have another example of 205?
Hoosiers like the one on your car typically run very wide and are not a good representation of a street 205
Thanks

Re: Drag DR20 fitment
Thanks for all the input, still trying to figure out something interesting to put on the roadster. I've even thought of putting some Diamond Racing steels on it.
