Re: The Quick/Small/(Stupid?) Question Thread.
Rather than relying on old wiring, I would be more inclined to add a 3 position outlet direct to the battery with a fuse inline. Probably 20A.
Much safer for ancilliaries. Laptop, go pro, cell phone etc.
I have done this to Eliza with success.

So what are people using for a jack? I've done away with all brackets and would like to find a compact unit to have on board just in case. Pat

I have a small bottle jack I hope I never have to use... I wonder if they have a folding jack stand for emergencies-

A scissor jack would be the best bet. I doubt that you can get a bottle jack under the car if you have a flat.

I have a scissor jack from a ("gasp") Toyota, it's compact and fits nicely in the trunk wheel well.

Since I have Toyota door limiters, a Toyota jack should feel at home.

I used a Honda Accord space saver spare tire and scissor jack assembly. It uses (with a little modification) the original Datsun trunk mount hardware and Honda foam retainer (for the jack, handle and lug wrench). Fits snuggly and tight, and I still have the original Datsun jack in its original mount.

Okay, I see the price going up on ebay as several of us try to get these. Wonder if there is a 14" spare.

Re: The Quick/Small/(Stupid?) Question Thread.
I am going to install four piece windscreen frame trim on my 68 and I'm not sure how the chrome trim piece is supposed to go on. If anyone has pic or description of this piece I'd appreciate it.... Couldn't find image online, thanks!
