Ohhhh man, I do like those, especially the car... very cool color. But like you said, you already have that one...
Are you doing the black wheels? I'm very attracted to black and gold (what my car is), but not sure how a gold color would look, and I would want a dark gold with lots of depth.

Parts starting to gather on block 239 for the first time since???? Car was running a 68-69 ish block when retrieved out of Wyoming several years ago but came with original block which was stuck and full of water. Thanks to a fairly dry climate and a vertical press...

Looking good. Non smog head, and I see you have plugged the water to the intake manifold as did I. There may be some controversy there, as I do not know if it actually increases or decreases the intake temps. I just followed Bob Sharp on that one. I also don't have a heater and capped the line off the water pump. I now use my water tube on the intake manifold as source of vacuum signal to my Megajolt ignition by tying in some fittings off the intake.
Anyway, I assume you wanted the water jackets blocked off, but thought I would mention it just in case...

Hey Greg - One reason I love this site is you guys that know these cars inside and out don't miss a thing. I literally just figured out this week when I was looking back at the pictures and saw the plugs lit by the flash. Original owner was planning on taking this car racing but it does not appear that happened. Loookg at the plumbing they had the water tube plugged and the water pump routed back into the manifold inlet.

That was my understanding too, but looking at the manifold and the exhaust header yesterday while breaking in the cam I was kinda wondering about it. I have a ceramic coated header but it still glows red some and there has got to be a considerable amount of heat radiating into that intake. I think it would be interesting to put an IR temp tester on one with the manifold as stock and one with it blocked to really see what's what.
Regarding the plugs, I don't know what it would take to get them out. Mine were pressed in and sealed, not sure I could drill or tap them out while installed very easily or not. However, if you want to run a heater I think you can bypass the intake manifold anyway and just run a hidden tube off the water pump, but I would want to confirm water flow direction just to be sure as I don't know if that would make any difference or not. Doesn't the R engine use a separate water tube?

Progress lately has been slow due to heavy travel schedule for work. While I have not accomplished as much as I wanted on the vehicle, I have managed to do some heavy duty damage to the wallet, but the spectacular parts I have managed to collect along the way are incredibly exciting.

The most recent box to arrive was just too good not to share with everyone...presenting the 2" JT stainless exhaust with twin tip resonator and flex pipe modified for an early clamp style exhaust manifold.

Thanks JT - it's pure art! Now to get polishing on the intermediate tube sections. Yeah - I know it's under the car and nobody will see a full polish exhaust - bugs deserve a nice view too, right?

A, the photo you posted is the standard part we build.

The nolastyankee resonator was built for 2L and is 2 pipe sizes over the early part. Also sports angle cut pipes stolen from a vintage Ferrari -- I'm jealous btw..it looks even better in person.

Apologies to those who view this as heresy, but I quite like it. Started with a couple cracks around one of the holes that is welded and ground. All other surfaces had bumps and nicks galore.
