Hiya forum members!

Just poking my head up for a minute to say hello and report that the new to me 1969 [a.k.a Garm's Project] has landed safely in Paso Robles, Ca. The car is being loved and driven locally often. After purchasing the car from Monty on a BaT auction, we headed south to Hollywood on 101 and drove home over the grapevine two weeks ago. This car and nearly everything about it are all new to me. looking forward to learning about this car while enjoying it muchly!

Welcome. Do you have any particular plans for the car? ( reinstall heater, paint etc) It is a nice car, but obviously owners often like to make their own modifications and improvements sometimes.

Kevin - we have met before...I work for CAPSLO and run the Supportive Service for Veteran Families program. TFS has provided services for a few of my Veteran participants.
Anyway - it would be great to get together with our Roadsters and do some drives. PM me if you're up for it. Also willing to assist in any way I can...learned a few things working on my 69 2000.

Thanks for the encouragement and kind words. Thanks also for affirming Spikes identity is well known so we shall not invent another name.

To Linda, while I have not developed a priority list of plans for Spike, I can say yes, the heater will go back in...drives to the beach will be frequent, top always down, especially in winter. The interior will get some attention.

Need proper seat belts and address the transmission leak in the case that we auto-x or some other such. Need also to fab a heat shield between the header and carbs.

Noodling on dash replacement options, a re-pop or a fabricated race centric design with original gauges reinstalled. Carpet...sounds good. Not going to touch the body and paint. Want to know the car front to back like other cars I have owned. Might just take it all apart and put it back together for the knowledge.

And WOW Robert! The unexpected surprise of knowing someone here already from my second life of community service. Let's indeed get these cars on the same patch of road. A highway junkie, I need that old white line!
