Datsun 2000 tires
I have stock rims on my Datsun 2000. What size tires would have originally came with the car? Would thes have come with red lines from the factory? Does nobody run red lines? I think they would look great. Chris

Re: Datsun 2000 tires
I've never heard of factory redlines on the Roadster but I agree and I think they could look great. Especially on the white car with the red interior. I think the only mandate would be that you would have to always keep the top down!

Should be a placard on the inside of the glovebox door that specifies tire size.

Re: Datsun 2000 tires
The original size was 5.60 - 14 which was not a radial tire. You can buy them but they are quite expensive and the car will handle very poorly. For a modern radial with any chance of selection, a 175/70/14 will probably give you the closest look to stock. However many people run 185/70/14 or 185/65/14. The last size is what I currently use. What is on your car right now?

Re: Datsun 2000 tires
I love Red Lines and want to put Reds on my 1967.5 2000.
I was at a British car show and was looking at a TR6 with redlines only to find after questioning the owner that they were covers (redine overlays) they looked great and you couldn't tell without picking at the tire itself. Has anyone else heard of these or tried these on a car?

Re: Datsun 2000 tires
I believe the cars came with Toyo white wall bias ply tires from the factory.
There has been lots of past discussion on tire size on stock wheels.
Here are a couple:

Hope that helps.
I have had success with 185/70/14.

Here are some pics of a Roadster with red line tires, but not on stock wheels:
