I've been trying to find a shop that will do an SR swap into my 66 , anyone have recommendations? i'd really appreciate it, i'd like to really get her running on an SR now !
sorry if i'm not in the right thread section, i couldn't think where else to post.
Shant @ Shant67 on this forum has done swaps. Kevin Desirello, but he is very booked. Maybe a race shop could handle the job with the right information. Michael Spreadbury @ Spriso here has expertise, info etc he is in Portland, Ore
Look for threads on the swap on the board for more info
Linda
Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.

Syne'-- we are not in LA, but we certainly can help with conversion parts for your project if you find a local shop to handle the fabrication work. We offer engine mount kits, a rental JIG to place the motor mounts on the frame so you get the engine in at the correct angle, big brake kits, etc.
There is a guy on the Ratsun board from Whittier that has done SR-510 swaps. Forget the exact name, but Gary from HoseStop.com comes to mind. (his day business is hydraulic hoses)
The 240SX-SR swappers won't be familiar with roadster unique requirements (they will want to put those Bride seats in it!)
I would steer clear of anyone who says, "we do SR20's, but we have never done one in a roadster before"

Thanks for the info, yea im staying clear from the 240sx-SR swappers. I want to make sure who ever does my swap can also fabricate well.
Should i buy the SR before finding someone to swap it? or should I let the shop who does my swap find one for me?
The owner of schrader's (Mike) does amazing work. His shop is a rock throw away from my house and I have stopped by a few times to see what he has going on.

Hey guys. Yea I Spoke with Mike today, suuuuuper cool guy!. He told me he's up for any custom task other than upholstery work. Sounds like he knows his stuff even though its been over 10 years since his shop has done any work on a roadster. I'll be scheduling an appointment with him soon. Apparently they are quite busy having 2 shops now.
