Any details on your flat dash conversion? Was it much trouble?

Martin the tuner ran it on the chassis Dyno. On the higher boost the engine was torquing too much so I need to run a top mount motor mount. My stock turbo was cracked so I updated that, BC cams and springs, fake Greddy intake, 750 cc injectors, spec clutch, AEM fuel pump. I still haven't finished the harnesses so I've been cautious on driving hard.

Thanks for the pics. Yep, That's a boatload of fab work to get that roll bar in there. Should be a white knuckle ride when you get everything shaken down.

The flat dash bad wasn't bad at all but I didn't use any of the heater vent stuff. ( I live in Florida so in AC would serve me better) I also got rid of the center consul radio. It gives it a cool floating look. Eventually I will hide and amp under the dash and run music through my phone. I also did the Miata seats which have built-in speakers. One thing I would've done differently is purchased a better condition flat dash. Mine has some rust through spots which I plan to fix at some point. The stainless double loop roll bar was for a 95 Miata which we took out a section in the middle to make the loops line up with the seats.

Love the roll bar except that it's become a complete aesthetic item. A missed opportunity in my book but damn that car still looks amazing

I wouldn't say it has become a "complete aesthetic item". It functions as a harness bar to properly/effectively run shoulder harnesses.

haha ok ok its a very functional harness bar, but an aesthetic roll bar

Either way, Im not trying to downplay its awesome-ness. I would be pretty concerned with safety when your basically tripling the power the car was designed to handle

I absolutely love the harness bar. Aren't these cars always right side up anyway???

I'll bet your top even goes up and down easily without hitting the roll bar. Now that's a big plus.
