Touque Rod Mounts
I have a 67 1/2 that is finally nearly roadworthy. I'm looking for visual reference showing how both ends of the torque rod mount. One end of mine is either missing something or one of the mounting points is broken. In all likelihood I will have to fabricate something but I'd like to see how it was mounted originally before I start. Thanks in advance.

Akpilot, thanks for your response. Wondering if you or someone else has any close up shots showing more detail at both ends of the torque tube. Thanks.

Re: Touque Rod Mounts
A suggestion - try to find pics of the 68 and later. The 67.5 was a defective design and as a result was the subject of a recall.

Re: Touque Rod Mounts
Not much to show beyond what Pebbles (David) showed for the front. There is a bracket on the frame and a tall bracket on the top passenger side of your rear axle carrier. The rod fits between the two and has a bolt that slides through. Are you missing the bracket on the axle or the frame?

Re: Touque Rod Mounts
I'm missing the bracket on the frame. It appears that it may have been broken off at some point. What I need is a good visual of the factory mounting so I can fabricate something close. I can see a little of it in the bottom photo above but a detail shot would be most helpful.

Here is another late pic.

I have a late frame in the sticker bushes. If the bracket is there, I could take some pics and post em.

Re: Touque Rod Mounts
David and Jordan. Thanks a ton!!! This is exactly what I needed. It looks fairly easy to fabricate and weld to the frame. Really appreciate you taking the time to post these pictures up.
