How do you QA/QC these things for real-world use? ie durability, urethane composition, etc.Mainer311 wrote:3D printed some molds and started making my own urethane parts:

I'm only making them for me. It'll be an experiment for sure. I'm using an industrial grade blend right now, so we'll see. The leaf bushings should hold up fine. The leaf pads are a crap shoot. Can't be any worse than what came out of my car.Alvin wrote:How do you QA/QC these things for real-world use? ie durability, urethane composition, etc.

Received my carbs from Z-Therapy. No more sitting in my driver seat making "Vroom Vroom" noises....... ok I still do that even with the engine running.

With a small bell shaped vacuum tank and pump, those castings will turn out perfect. Nice work!Mainer311 wrote:3D printed some molds and started making my own urethane parts:

Working on my axle tonight...in the 18 degree weather, I realized that I put the brake drum backing plate on in the wrong direction. Grrrr. Luckily I only did one side so far. That's a $50 mistake I won't be making again.

That's the ONE line that doesn't run to the shop! The previous owner ran sewer, water, and electricity out to the garage. The second story was meant to be an in-law apartment. Now it's just used to make fancy things out of woodpebbles wrote:I saw a natural gas meter in your house pic.Mainer311 wrote:Working on my axle tonight...in the 18 degree weather, I realized that I put the brake drum backing plate on in the wrong direction. Jordan, I have had a catalytic non-vented propane heater in my shop for 11 years now I love it! inexpensive to buy, to install, and to operate.Mainer311 wrote:That's the ONE line that doesn't run to the shop!
