Wow. Lot of info here.
I wonder if there's some way those pics can be preserved here.
Hosting sites go away and the pictures are lost.
I have no idea how that might be arranged. Any ideas?

Hmm, worked great for me. Long list of jpg files. Many with more than one picture associated.
Maybe your work computer still had the last website you were peeking at....(sorry, just too good a chance to kid you).

My wife does refer to 311's.com as Car-Porn.

It's just a list, no idea who did it or why it exists If It's not illegal, I can probably copy and host it if there is no room here. Would be great to link photos to the the registry, already in by VIN .

WAIT..I just looked, It's all links to THIS site, 311's.org. It's an online slideshow maker, maybe what Steve uses for the homepage picture or someone just Fuskered the site.
Copy the link page, post it on 311's, Done, images are already hosted here

Not sure who owns that site but all of those pictures are here on this website just not indexed like they are there. Not sure I really like someone doing this without at least asking first. Gotta love the interweb. I am going to see if I can find out more info. Nice but not so nice in my opinion. I do not water mark pictures because most of them are not mine but pictures folks have submitted.

Well, I did not do this but obviously someone has. Looks like all you had to do was put http://www.311s.org and it would search and load all of the images on the site. Guess I will not lose any sleep over it. Enjoy it while you can as I am sure it will go poof someday just like a lot of the stuff on the web.

Upon further inspection this site looks like it has for a lack of a better term hijacked many websites pictures not just 311s.org. Most of the websites listed do not have many pictures and they are from many different websites. The forum there is nothing but spammers. I will try the site tomorrow from work but I bet it is blocked due to malicious content. Surfers beware.
