Thanks Jim, Greg and others. It's not just the car that wants to go to Shasta. :) Unfortunately (and fortunately) family and job commitments will make this a slow project. That being said, it's possible that we will add rolling to the feature list and be on the local roads by the end of summer. Fingers crossed.

And two thumbs up to Ross as well. A wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm. Really lucky to have his shop 10 minutes from home. And a shout out to Dave at the shop too. Big help on Friday with advice on getting the gas tank re-mounted. That's the reason she's running today and I'm still not standing there scratching my chin.

I'll be stopping by the shop for the BBQ tonight. Looking forward to meeting some of you.

I just have to put a shout out to Ross and his team at Sports Imports. A month ago I took my 69 out of the garage under its own power for the first time in 30 years, and promptly blew the head gasket. Having fulfilled my pride obligation of getting it running and on the road it was time to let the pros do their work and get it safe and reliable. We picked it up today from Ross and it was looking great under the hood, and running like a champ. My 75 year old father and 86 year old farther in law promptly took it out for a spin around White Rock. I've taken my wife and kids out for a spin tonight. Everyone is smiling. Worth every cent. Thanks Ross and the Sports Imports team!

Congratulations - sometimes it's just better to go to the pro's. In the end, you got a million bucks worth of enjoyment! How about some pictures?

Just a few recent photos while I wait for fuel pump parts.

Parking? No problem.

Took my daughter for a spin. Parking spot RIGHT in front of the ice cream shop on the Whiterock waterfront. Had to stop.

.....back on the road tonight if the fuel pump gods smile on me.
