HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I was way off. It's $1795.00 for an OS Giken limited slip.

How is an OS Giken LSD keeping it Nissan, wouldn't you need a Nissan Comp diff to maintain "all Nissan"?

No, a Giken isn't, but a Mazda rear is a whole lot less so

Right. If you want to maintain all Nissan parts then Datsun comp is the way to go.

I think there is also another H190 option that the folks in Australia use that still uses Nissan parts

norgebe91 wrote:I know a lot of people here do the Mazda rear end swap or a Ford 8" or something to that effect.

What are the pros and cons of just rebuilding the stock rear end? I want to convert it to disks brakes regardless of if I keep the stock 2000 rear end or if I go with another option. I'm mainly worried about the stock rear end being able to handle the 200-250 horsepower of the SR20DET??

Thanks
SR20det? I dont think there are any pros.
Cons, old material, expenses converting to disc, converting to LSD.
IIRC the Kaplan srdet car finally gave up its diff. With a gramps behind the wheel.
Seems to be holding up quite well now even with leadfoot Erica behind the wheel :smt006

I found the thread:
http://www.311s.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.ph ... sd#p207197

It's not directly bolt-in but it is ~$900 (in 2014) and still Nissan:
