Z-Bash Anaheim Stadium May 14, 2016

Post by bakerjf »

This show is strongly encouraging Roadsters to participate now that they have expanded and moved the show to Anaheim Stadium.
In years past, it has fallen on the same weekend as Solvang - not anymore!
Best of all it's free - the organizers are just looking for a RSVP so they can adequately prepare.
Hope to see you there!

so I thought is this the "MSA" show?
Hasn't it been dead for awhile now? Then I clicked on the link.
They used a picture from 2004!

According to the organizers it's the 21st annual show. Was there a hiatus in there somewhere (they have photo albums covering the last 7 years)?
I wouldn't want people to mistakenly think this is the first show in 12 years just because they used an old picture of your car on the website...

I signed up. It's local and should be fun. Plenty of food within walking distance too.

Too bad the dyno is for Zs only. Would like to see what I have power wise.

I wonder if anyone will come this year. Last year there were a TON of cars ticketed and towed, because someone 'forgot' to get a permit for the show.. Lots of bad feelings last year..

Maybe that's why they moved to the stadium?

Are you serious about getting on the dyno?

Of course I'd like a run on the dyno.
I was signed up for a dyno run at the local college but the class got cancelled, we're now looking around locally and seeing what prices are. I have never done a dyno run in any car.
Ultimately I'd like to get a run in and then do a jet change and compare.

As far as the dyno ONLY for Z's...I don't believe it's true ....from MSA website............

DYNOJET Dyno Runs! MCE Racing is bringing their custom DYNOJET trailer right to Angel Stadium of Anaheim, for the best DRIVE-ON, DRIVE-OFF testing available... RIGHT AT THE SHOW! Every car that is tested gets 3 pulls, and a full color, laminated print-out of horsepower & torque, including the air/fuel ratio during the whole test, for $49.95! That is ten bucks less than you would pay at their shop at Thunderhill, but Motorsport is bringing the Dyno to you, and not passing along the extra mobile expenses. You can reserve your space for the Dyno by giving us a call at (800)633-6331. More details are on the Dyno Page.

I am guessing it takes to much work to re-adjust.

Greg.
I am sorry that I didn't originally see the restriction of just Z's for the Dyno. I just got off the phone with James @ Motorsport Auto. After a conversation with Greg Smith of Motorsport Auto they WILL accept reservations from ALL vehicles invited to the car show. This will include Roadsters, 510's, Skylines and GTR's. You can now reserve your space for the Dyno by giving MSA a call at (800) 633-6331.

The link also stated that there will be a special "4 Sale" area at the show to include any entered car which is for sale. So might be a good place to buy or sell.
Very impressive that this is a free event from the promoters.

Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.
