Returning...and need to start from Zero!

Hello forum members! I am returning to the forum after almost 5 years! I have a 1968 1600 that back then I was at about 70% progress restoring. (at the moment I started neglecting the car, I only had to do body/cosmetic, exhaust system, and some suspension stuff). Well, children happened, moved to the desert, and 5 years later I have not started my car and it has been collecting dust in the garage. Now I'm ready and it seems like I need to do A LOT of stuff! Master cylinder is empty (?), I made the horrible rookie mistake of letting gas dry in the carbs, and the engine cooling system will definitely need some serious flushing. But I'm glad to be back! I'm sure you will hear a lot from me this year. Any suggestions on where to start the "re-rebuilding"?

I always like to start with brakes. They're simple, easy to diagnose and repair plus there's no temptation to drive a good running car with poor brakes "just for a trip around the block".

Thank you all! I will post some pictures of the car ASAP! I will start with brakes as soon as I get my hydraulic jack serviced. I even neglected THAT! Good to be back
