Any relation to "Dave_The_Car_Guy"? :D
Alvin, nothing gets by you!

I've known Joe_Car_Guy now for a couple years, introduced by a mutual friend. He is a true car nut from a young age, as is his Dad. When we met, he wanted to do some automotive writing (and he has - I'll let him tell you about his car blog) and we met to talk about exotic cars. Eventually, I had the chance to introduce him to a few of you guys at the Blackhawk Cars n Coffee. That time y'all parked at the East end together (and I arrived too late to park there), Joe was there and saw all the great variations on Roadsters (bikerMike, Alvin, Dave Preemo)... he was hooked. When I explained to him he could be part of a unique car family and drive a true classic for a relatively reasonable $$ amount, he was then on a mission.

And yes, I let him try his hand at the manual transmission in my car. These cars are pretty bullet proof, and since I learned on a 510, I figured he'd be fine (and he was!)

And while Joe is a "kid" compared to all us old dudes, he has been around the car biz now for a while and has managed his way into some great car venues and through hard work and determination, he has gotten introduced to some pretty big names in the car business. He also did a darn fine job of hunting down a terrific car. It's a real catch.

Joe: it is great to have you in the Roadster family, and I hope you are a beacon to your generation of car-friends, and I know your lifelong success will parallel a lifelong passion for Datsun Roadsters! (as the old dudes here will tell you: you never forget your first one).

Thank you for the kind words Dave. I really appreciate how much you have continued to help me in all endeavors car related. I can't wait to go on drives with all these fellow roadster enthusiasts and continue to learn more about what it means to be a "Car Guy"!
