Here is a photo of my '69 2000 roadster at last year's car show in Moraga. The show is every May and mostly either Detroit steel or "hot rods". Would be nice to have a second Japanese car there!

Nice 69 2000 Damian. I have a 69 2000 also...VIN 07332. Just had it painted black and now I'm putting her back together. Hopefully she'll be done for Solvang. If you plan on going to Solvang this year maybe we could meet up on your way down and take the back roads there. If mine isn't done I'll trailer it there because I already registered and booked a room.

Welcome, this is a great site! Really has helped me with a lot of stuff!! I'm about 3 1/2 hours south of you so when I get mine back on the road maybe we'll swing up there.
Mine's pretty close at SRL311-07332.

Welcome - great looking '69. If your car is dieseling it needs some attention. It shouldn't diesel - it's either too hot, too lean, or there is a vacuum leak somewhere.

The other thing to check right away is a loose timing chain. Does it rattle or buzz from the front of the engine for the first 30 seconds of startup? If so look up how to shim your upper tensioner.

Good luck!
