Hi fellow Roadster lovers.
At first I skipped the introductions, but now I am officially saying hello from Santa Cruz, CA.
I am sixteen and recently acquired a '68 2000 on Craigslist. Not a bad first car! I will be working on getting the brakes operational and maybe welding in some kind of cross plate to prevent the seats from falling through the floor. I am curious to see if there are any active owners in the San Francisco bay area, any part swap meets or Roadster gatherings in the area. (I seem to be right between MT. Shasta and Solvang).
Thank YOU all for making Roadster ownership so much fun. I am excited to be part of this world wide club!

Re: First Roadster, First Car
Welcome and congratulations on your first car! Crazy choice, and one I never would have made at that age, SMART!
As long as you have the time and someone to learn from, you are learning valuable skills and about the joys of a real, RAW automobile.
It's going to make getting into an automatic sedan like your friends probably have pretty boring!

Re: First Roadster, First Car
Congratulations on your first car, and on an inspired choice! My first cars at age 16 and 17 were a Datsun 510 and then a 69 2L Roadster. So, I'd say you are off to a great start!
Quite a few Bay Area Roadster people here, so keep an eye out for local gatherings, and we look forward to seeing your car and you soon!

Re: First Roadster, First Car
My first car (at 17) is the Roadster that sits in my garage. That was many decades ago. Keep it. Cherish it. And you will know every nut and bolt.
