Solvang Datsun Roadster Classic
Greetings my Roadster Enthusiasts Friends,
It is with some sadness that I must make this announcement (This announcement only applies to the Solvang Datsun Roadster Classic). I am no longer going to be able to organize the Solvang Datsun Roadster Classic. For personal reasons I must step-down and find a suitable replacement. This show is one of the finest and I feel that some changes have been made to the good and it is my hopes that the new organizer(s) will love doing this show and keep the positive changes rolling. If positive changes don’t take place every now-and-then in a show like this it can get stagnate and boring for the organizer(s) and the participants. Things are pretty much set in place for the 2016 year with rental fees and permits paid.
Along with being the organizer of course you will be given control of email account, Facebook account.
I have been organizing shows and other special events for a long time and the support staff I have had at this show is the best. Karen and Bart Desirello, Karen had been a pillar for us doing this show, Bart has always ready to help with Parking and taking the Safety officer role when needed. Kevin and Denise Desirello, Kevin a great right hand man, always there when needed and Denise who was really missed this year has been a great support and personal assistant. Ron Carter, the man of encouragement, Ron I can't thank you enough for being there. Michael Anderson, Erik and Carita Dickson, again a couple that is hard to get by without, Erik has been a major supporter of this show and I could not have done some of the pre-show stuff without him, not to mention his streamlining of the voting process and tallying up the ballots. Our Parking crew, Andrew Whiteford, Kevin Desirello, Erik Dickson, Spencer Dickson, Mark Taillon, Tony Stockler, (I’m sure I might have left someone out) and a load of other volunteers. These people along with our volunteers are the best I have ever had and I publicly thank them for their involvement in this show.
The person(s) that take over this event will be taking on one of the biggest honors in the Roadster community.
If you are interested in being the new organizer for the Solvang Datsun Roadster Classic please contact me off this forum at chris@solvangroadstershow.com
Thank you
Chris Breyer

Re: Solvang Datsun Roadster Classic
Well Chris, sad news indeed. As you said, you have contributed a lot to the community and to the enjoyment of Solvang under your tutelage.
Thanks for all your efforts, hopefully having this much notice will allow to find a worthy successor.

Chris,
You have done a great job and I hope we can find someone to live up to your standards....
I would Volunteer, but my ideas are too far out of the "main stream"......

Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.

Chris did a fantastic job and it might come across as a critique. I will put in my 2 cents when we get a new leader.

The bar is set pretty high, but whoever does step in will have a well structured show to move forward.
