I scored a new kangaroo bag to go with the solex air filter housing. Now if I could just get a nice 66-67 wash bottle instead.

Speaking of plastic washer reservoir, does anyone know how to clean one?

If you search you can info about using oxyclean and hydrogen peroxide.

Well, I'll have to try the 15% H2O2 that I have had sitting around.

I was able to get to her this evening. I finished bending and fitting a new front right corner for the hood, then I cut out the rusted part that I posted about earlier where the lead holds the moisture in. After cutting that part out I cut and bent a new piece to fit in and got it just tacked in place when I ran out of argon. No more welding this weekend so I marked the places on the front of the hood that need to be cut out and replaced with new metal. Probably tomorrow I will be able to make those replacement pieces.

I finally got the new to me 67 2000 into my driveway today. It was a chore to make the parts car go away, but it is gone. Now to figure out what to do. SWMBO is not feeling the love of another 2000 project car, so who knows how long it will be welcome...

Well it occurred over a few days but, I installed my impact cut-off switch. It sits on
the fuel pump side of the engine on the fender wall Did some painting and installed new fan and old radiator with new paint took my center link out and cleaned old grease, painted it and greased it and used new urethane fittings (the old rubber disintegrated some time ago). My update to "WYAII"

Re: What did you do TO or FOR your Datsun today?(Roadsters only)
I upgraded my headlights with some custom ones from Victoria British. (I know, I know, not Japanese. A buddy has an Austin Healey Sprite, and these look great on his car, thought I'd try them on the Roadster.)
They're not very expensive, but they are clear and highly reflective, so they put out a more modern looking light quality, and don't have the yellowed look of the older H4 lights. They were a direct swap with the existing headlights -- but I upgraded the wiring harness while I was at it. Victoria offers a harness bypass with two relays for $20 that worked like a charm, with minimal changes needed to adapt it to the car. (That part is mentioned in the Tech Wiki.)
Let me know what you think!

I vacuumed out the recent acquisition. It filled my 20 gallon shop vac about 2/3 full. I also swapped out the hood latch and cable for working ones.

Re: What did you do TO or FOR your Datsun today?(Roadsters only)
Well, I didn't do it all today but I have been still cutting out rust and welding in new metal, but hadn't taken a picture in awhile.
Sorry, pictures are in reverse order.
I cut out both front corners of the hood along with three rectangular areas along the front edge. I cut and formed pieces of new metal to take the place of them.
I also filled in where someone had previously gone through, apparently with an aggressive grinder and had just filled it with plastic body filler.
Today I finished welding the right side length wise brace in and started on the left side.Sorry, pictures are in reverse order.
