Just got the frame back from the powdercoater. There was a LOT of rust on the top skin. Mostly where the horsehair pads were as well as a few other spots. I had to have a couple of small holes welded up. All in all I think it turned out OK. The areas that were not rusted really turned out good. Now time to start working on a rolling chassis.
Not much to report. It has been a busy summer. Did a garage addition, I still have some concrete to pour. I have a lot of parts powdercoated and ready to assemble. I hope to hit it hard over the winter.

JK. Congrats on the garage addition.
I've been following your progress. I was just telling my wife that you are ahead of me now and I need to get moving. I was showing her your pictures and admiring your work. With the newly added space, I hope to make some serious progress over the winter. There are a few months of play still before I can get too serious. I've done a couple of rafting trips and my garage looks like an outfitter sometimes with rafts and gear all over. After September I can store all my rafting gear for the season and open up more garage space.
I'm glad I can watch your progress as it keeps the motivation high. Thanks for posting,
