It was a great ride...

Post by Garm »

Hello Roadster people,

I sold "Spike" the Roadster yesterday (locally), and wanted to wish you all well and express my gratefulness for all the help I got and friendships I made along the way. I will be seeing some of you around at meets, shows and such -- it was a great ride.

Anyone we know who bought it?
See you at SCS, Garm, with your latest project!

I would do a 510 2-door if got another Datsun. Or a Bluebird. I can't have a convertible.

Sorry to hear it Garm. Why can't you have another convertible?

Cancer. On April 1, 2014 I had a three hour surgery on my ear for melanoma. Got it all, but... The sun is, unfortunately, no longer my friend.

Just get a big floppy hat like Ted has. Seriously, I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Chances are the sun that caused your recent issue was probably from many years ago. I figure at my age, any damage done now won't manifest itself until I'm gone.

You have been a great and willing resource on the board, look forward to seeing you at other car events and backroad rallies. I am probably one more season away from the same decision, as a wide brim hat does not work after 3pm, so either hardtop on the roadster or a coupe (need a backseat to be able to bring the two kids along to car events).
Good on ya Garment, and good luck with new car projects.
