which wheels fit the 300zx front calipers
If you have converted to the 300zx front calipers with the Spriso kit (especially 26mm calipers) could you please tell me what 15" wheels you are running?
I already have a set of 15" wheels on my car, have a set of 26mm calipers to be used, but dont want to start the conversion unless I know my wheels will clear, or I have wheels ready to put on.
Thanks!

195/50
They fill the wheel wells with reasonable clearance. I can take a pic or two if you want a visual. Body is now on chassis.

Re: which wheels fit the 300zx front calipers
Just finished everything up, and the 15x7 +12 Rotas did NOT fit on my front. I put them in the rear, currently with a 5mm spacer, but am going to go up to a 10mm spacer. In the front, I wound up having to go with the 15x6 +25 set, and have a 5mm spacer up there as well.
But, am using the 195/50 tires

+25 with a 5mm spacer is a +20 effective wheel. I am curious where the +12 hit.
My guess is the wheels(or hubs) needed the slight clearance because the center bore was too small.. My Rotas were too small there.. I used a router with a bearing bit to edge the wheel to make it fit..

1) The 15x7 +12 Rotas did NOT fit meaning the spokes interfered with the calipers? Or the wheel bore was too small to fit over the hub? Did yo ubuy the "large hub" models specifically for the Datsun Roadster?
2) You put these wheels in back with a 5mm spacer, that's +7mm effective offset. Putting a 10mm spacer brings it to +2mm effective.
3) 15x6 +25 with a 5mm spacer is +20mm effective. If anything this is worse for caliper clearance as the spokes are now pushed "inward".

15X7 +15 VTO classic eight custom drilled, custom offset prior to drilling.
I did have to taper the inner end of the bore a bit to clear the hub.
There is At least .500" clearance to the 300zx tt caliper.
195/55/15

Re: which wheels fit the 300zx front calipers
Alvin,
The 7" wide wheels with +12 offset are the "big cap" ones and clear both the hub and caliper. They were pushed out too far and wouldve rubbed the outer fender. Im also on Mike Young Springs with the ES bump stops. All fresh. These wheels I put on the rear with a 5mm spacer where they fit plenty fine. Im going to add another 5mm spacer too to push them further out. My rear axle is a much narrower track than the front. My friend who was working on the car thinks it is not a stock rear. Part of his reason is because the rear brakes appear to be "upside down" with the brake cylinders and adjusters seeming to be inverted. We tried swapping the axles from drivers to passengers side, but then they do not line up correctly.
The 6" wide wheels with the +25 offset are now up front. These are also the "big cap" ones. I have these on with a 5mm spacer right now as well. They fit this way, and the stance is in my eyes "corrected" as the rear stance is now close to being as wide as the front, which is how I feel a RWD car should be. Its also why I want to add another 5mm spacer to the rear. Before, the distance between my front two wheels was far greater than between the rears. To add even more confusion to the mix, the box that these fronts came in said 15x6.5. I never checked the paperwork so who knows what the heck I have. So the mystery of what fits continues.
I will try to get pics over the weekend.
