Always nice to get complements thanks Greg! I have to say I was amazed at the number of people at the car show in Tucson enamored with Barney!
Peter had I known you already had the black I would not have had to display my poor painting with Mr Softy! I like the look of the black though.
All Datsun emblems are black background too ... and I know most rest above the chrome trim. Mine are the way they are to honor a great friend in my life. I'm leaning to black background with gold electo plate Datsun letters on the valve cover but do not tell please

Took everyone's advice on this forum and started off small. Changed out the wheels, modified (added a harness bar) and installed the rollbar, swapped out the steering wheel (Momo prototipo) (existing wheel wasn't original to the car anyways), replaced a number of the weather stripping seals, compound buff and polish. Now time to drive and enjoy!

Looks great and I like the new wheels much better. Glad to hear you are taking the collective advice - drive it first, then decide what to do with it. You may like it enough to do nothing!

Thanks David! To be honest I'm not sure where that color came from or what it is. Your guess is as good as mine. After the detail the paint really came to life.
