Hi all!
I am new to the group and look forward to sharing information on keeping these super fun cars going. I currently own a SRL 311 1969 model 2000 that I have spent the last two years getting back on the road. I literally pulled her out of the mud from under a tree. She was complete with a hard top so everything has been rebuilt or replaced mechanically except the engine which runs and will be refreshed soon. Here is a pic of the day we picked her up and the first shake down on the brakes at Harris Hill Raceway in San Marcos, Texas. People really liked seeing her at the track which was a blast.

Thanks and yes it is an addiction. I just recently sold my track prepped 280Z to spend more time on this project. I am also building a 1969 510 wagon so it has been neat crossing parts and just building new. Here is a list of what has been done so far to get her going.

Original Radiator pressure tested

font brakes rebuilt and refreshed

First gen Miata seats
RCI 5 point harnesses
stand alone temp gauge and sensor in line top hose
mustang fox body radiator hoses
fully adjustable tie rods
Clock still works
rewired and resocket all lampning
modified 510 turn signal swith
kyb shocks
Rebuilt SU side drafts
electric fan
240Z brake master cylinder
510 clutch master cylinder
510 slave cylinder with 2000 push rod
replaced passenger floor pan

Nice work and Welcome to this world of crazy Datsun owners (some old dudes like me). I like your choice of wheels! I wonder if I am biased there? My clock still worked until this week, just after "Nissanman" did a brilliant writeup on how to replace it with a quartz clock, it quit. So I ordered the quartz fixings a few days ago. I have the older clock (round faced I think your working clock is different).

I am in the process of installing a switch for my electric fuel pump so I can turn it off if a fire starts.
It used to be this way but my Fog Light switch is not working so new one on order.

Yep my clock is rectangular. It was the first thing to fire on the car once I put a battery on her. Down here in Austin we are currently looking at trying to build slash fab upper and lower ball joints with spherical hyme joints. Hopefully this works since I am about to order from Datsun parts and use the old set to play engineer. I know this has been a hard one but I think with all the race builds we are doing we might come up with something. Now for the switch are you doing a relay set up. I hard lined my fuel and fan switch but will be putting them on a relay set up soon. Damn those ball joints are not cheap!

But maybe I should. My electric fan has a relay, it does not draw a lot of current either.
