Santa Barbara Vintners Spring Weekend - 4/23/15 to 4/26/15

Post by bikermike »

I was in Solvang for the weekend for a cycling event and spotted signs for the Santa Barbara Vintners Spring Weekend which will coincide w/ the annual Roadster Show.

It give you an additional activity to enjoy, but will likely make accommodations harder to find.

I put out and earlier post a couple of months ago regarding this. I know many got their rooms booked and some haven't. There are still some rooms to be had but not many. At least not in town.

Yes. Last time I rode it was in '06 in the hail storm. Temps were close to 100 last Saturday.

Those temps make for a hard 100 miles, but they take pretty good care of you, what with the well-stocked rest stops and good support. I was there in '06, too - last year I did it was in '07 I think. I first rode it in '84 (when it rained all day) and didn't miss very many years. Good to see a fellow roadster owner and cyclist on the board! I'm not riding very much these days, but I really would like to start riding again - I miss it.
