Roadsters at The Monterey Motorsports Reunion

I am pleased to let the 311s.org list know that we have been invited to attend the Monterey Historics this year.

This event is certainly the pinnacle of vintage racing events in the US, since its inception in the early 70's.

Over the last 6 years a small handful of Datsuns have been invited to attend this event and after many years of entering I got the nod this year. Reserved for the finest racing cars in their racing classes it is a privilege to be invited. It is an event that I have wanted to attend since I started vintage racing. Laguna is a great track, and it is a fun event. I am looking forward to being involved. I hope that a few roadster fans can make it to this event and support us!

Congratulations! that will be a fun experience for sure. ive had the opportunity to sit shotgun for a time trials event and that was awesome. driving a roadster at laguna seca would be so cool. Good luck at the event!

There will be at least two roadsters running this year. Tim Arnett got his car in as well. I'm looking forward to seeing roadsters mixing it up. Hopefully I won't have to turn Tims car into a 3 cyl 1500 this time. (Like the first time you guys both ran.)

Tim and I will both be there, we are going to try to pit together as well along with Rob and Alvin.

Will- I have a new (and much quicker) motor since you and I mixed it up at Laguna last time, with a significant HP bump and I am sure I will do just fine. Tim can drive, and I mean really drive, he makes both of us look like toddlers. The guy is good, I could have all the motor in the world and he would still drive around me. Last year Tim had overheating problems, weird for Laguna...

August 13-16, 2015, Sunday would be the day to see us race I suspect. It will also be televised on Fox 1 on the 11 of October.
