Man, next thing we know you're gonna be posting that you're making a whole new body from scratch... I think you could do it! Nice work! Wish I had that knowledge and skill and shop...
The outer fenderwell tapers inboard toward the aft. Take a measurement up in the well about 3-4" from the pinchhweld/lip/wheel openening. My guess is that it is 1/2" narrower there.
Will the car be stock height or lowered?

Greg, - yea sometimes I think I've just about have did the whole body - just goes to show buy the best car you can afford, but in this case I always intended to tub the car so just maybe this Roadster and I are destine to be together.
Pebbles, - Yes I noticed the taper also, but with the curvature of the wheel dropping off I think it'll be ok and will check against the wheel before I weld anything. It will be lowered as I received my box from Dean with the comp front springs. Thinking they are way too stiff but will not know that until she's on the road and what her weight comes in at.
I'm unclear on how you are getting more inboard clearance by tubbing just the body. Won't the frame still limit you? What will the tubs look like from the cabin, like factory in profile but just wider, or total Pro-Steet style?
Yes I'll need to also move the frame rails inboard, not much but about 1" to equal the body. The inner tub will be where the frame bolt is now so it will look stock just about 1.5" inboard, will be hard to tell especially with vinyl on them.
I'll start the frame shortly but needing to finish the fenders and layout the 4 link first.
Ok, been quietly working away at this..... It was warm here in the Great White North so it was a good time to go outside and prep the frame for paint. I received the box of goodies from Dean and now it's time to get the comp springs on for ride height for the 4-link conversion.

With working with the stretcher at the auto body place I knew I just had to get me one, more tools is never a bad thing. So I started playing with making my own fender flairs.....
