2015 ROADSTER CALENDAR!!! ----- SOLD OUT!!!!!-----

Post by gvpjared »

The first batch of calendars are ready to ship!!! Sorry it took us so long to get this one out! I think it will be worth the wait tho. Jon thinks this might be the nicest one yet! The size is a bit smaller (about 9.25x12.5) but I ran them on my new Xerox and I think the quality is a bit sharper. They are saddle stitched this time instead of the coil binding. This is mainly to speed up our production so we can get them out to everyone as quickly as possible. And since they are stitched and a bit smaller the cost is lower! $14 shipped to your door! We should be able to start shipping them tomorrow, so now is the time to order! Please make sure to include your address in the paypal payment.

For those new to the calendar, I have attached a file with all the important info for ordering.
2015_calendar_info.jpg
We will try to get them out as quickly as we can, but there are no guarantees that they will arrive before christmas.

NOTE: Unfortunately I couldn't get a few of the photos to print well on my new machine so I had to make some last minute changes on which cars I used.... that means I may have email you in the last few weeks and told you your car would "make the cut" and it actually didn't! So, I'll send out emails tomorrow to everyone that made it in. Don't order calendars assuming your car is in there unless you hear from me tomorrow! Sorry for any confusion.

Alright Comrades! Jon (RoadsterJon) and I have been talking about the 2015 edition for a bit now, but I've been to busy/lazy to start the thread! So without further ado...let's do this!

For newcomers not familiar with the calendar, here are some links to old threads...
The 2014 Calendar thread
http://311s.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=20422
The 2013 Calendar thread
http://311s.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=17747
Ted's photos of the 2013 calendar
http://311s.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=17940
Ted's photos of the 2012 calendar
http://311s.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=17946

It will be the same format, size and price as last year! $16 each shipped and I will send $1 per calendar back to Steve to support the site.

No Vote! I will use the first 13 GOOD photos I get....this is what I mean when I say "good"....I need the photos to be at a decent resolution. At least 4 or 5mp. Higher resolution is better. And I really like somewhat artistic photos that feature the roadster. I don't expect anything crazy. Just don't send me a picture of your roadster in a parking lot with a beat up Honda Accord parked next to it. I will update this thread and let everyone know when we have enough good photos and the calendar is full! Don't be afraid to email me what you got. If it's not up to par I'll email you back and let you know...

SEND ME YOUR PHOTOS NOW!
If you are interested in having your roadster in the 2015 calendar, please send your picture(s) to jared@grassvalleyprinters.com as soon as possible. Please put "Roadster Calendar" in the subject line. Please send your pictures at the highest quality possible. Also, please include any text and information on your car. Any picture with a roadster in it will be considered! Your car doesn't have to be show quality. I will respond when I get your picture, so if you don't hear from me after a day or so, PM me or give me a call at (530) 273-1993 to make sure it came though. Also, cars from the last three years will not be allowed in this years calendar. But, I will accept a different car from one of last years owners. Also, copy and past this text into the email...

"I (your name) give full permission for this photo which was taken by me, to be used in the Roadster Calendar to be printed and sold by Jared White of Grass Valley Printers."

ADS
Email me if you would like to advertise in this years calendar! Advertisers from 2014 will automatically get at least one spot/month in 2015 if they want it. We should have a few extra spots if anyone new wants to advertise. These are ONLY for vendors/business that deal directly with roadsters. The cost will be minimal and I can help create an ad for you if you don't already have one.

There are probably a few things I missed or forgot, so I will be updating this thread/post as we go along.

Thanks! Jared

P.S. I don't think there will be any "special gifts" (stickers) in this years calendar... Jon and I have some ideas for the 5th annaversay edition tho!

OK fellow roadster owners,
Get with it and send in those pictures.
You know, the ones you took, or should have taken, this Summer.
Jared said that last year there were not many pictures submitted.
How can that be!?.
We have 2025 members on this forum and Jared can not get enough pictures for a calendar.? FOR SHAME.
We all love our roadsters so send in a picture!
Here is a threat that will motivate you.
I have already sent Jared enough pictures to fill 3 calendars
so if you do not want to see my roadsters on every month, send in your pictures!

Hey folks, thanks for sending the photos! I still have room for one or perhaps two more, so there is still time if you want to send me your photos...

I don't want to have to put BOTH ted's new cars in this year. I fear if I do that, he'll be pressured to go out and buy another roadster just to make sure he gets into next year's calendar! lol.

The photos I've gotten have been good and I think we'll have another nice calendar. I also recently switched from Minolta to Xerox machines, so I think the colors may be a bit more accurate this year. Not that I wasn't happy with the calendars in the past, but the blue's and purples were always a bit funky on my old machine.

I want 2 calendars again, I think I share like last year with Peter for the sending costs to The Netherlands.
I sended 2 pictures, but the Mb's are not what Jared wanted, so maybe I pass this year and make a nice new one next year with the required Mb's.

Looking forward to the pumpkin from Ted under that orange tree. Would be a nice autumn picture!
