Classic Instruments may be able to help with the gauges.

Speedhut, TPS, AutoMeter, ClassicInstruments, etc. all make "multi-gauge" clusters, "David" gauges shown:topdown wrote:3rd, Who makes makes gauges to fit in my dash or company to convert originals.I want to have all parts before tear down .

Jon Frampton is the one to contact to get oe gauges restored/electrified to work, "RCmike" gauges shown:

I wouldn't buy "all parts" before teardown. Your tastes/direction could change at any point in the build.

Re: sr20 swap questions
I want to thank you guys for the for the gauge info ,i like the stock gauges converted by Jon Framton.
AS far as getting what is need to complete conversion so my car will be ready by spring. I Talked to Micheal At Spriso motorsports for the other info i need so i think i have most of it covered now . I am doing frame mods , then paint the frame and engine compartment ,engine swap then body goes back on. My car is not rusted any where , has a few places that could render a new paint job (dings and chips) but that does not fit the budget for this winter . I follow the advice form most members, buy the best car you can afford drive it and fix it up as you go . My car has been a running project. And has been alot of fun . I dont want to miss out on driving time . I will take pictures of the swap and have taken them of the the other thing i have done . I will start a build thread some time this winter . Thanks alot Dave

Re: sr20 swap questions
I cannot recommend Jon Frampton enough. He does incredible work. Just be sure that you contact him as early as possible, and let him know when you need the work finished. He and his group at Global Tech are very busy with the aviation gauges they build, and will need all the help they can get from you to fit into their production schedule. I visited his shop while mine were getting built a couple times, and what he does is not an overnight process lol. I absolutely love the gauges he built, and both times they were delivered on time as requested(the second time a couple weeks early..lol)

Re: sr20 swap questions
Jon did my 67.5 gauges. Absolutely perfect. Better than stock. Be patient though. A member flamed him pretty bad a few years ago and he publicly stopped doing gauges because of this. Contact him via email. I would get the gauges to him now, and then he will have plenty of time to get them done before springtime. Let me know if you need an email contact.

We are working on a bolt in SR20-ready (or KA for that matter) radiator that will work with both steering boxes and have the necks correct for the SR20. We have the design, just working with a few vendors to get a better price that we can pass along.what radiator is used and i need to know make and model for the best fit

I am very happy with the CX Racing Civic radiator, shroud, and Spal fan. It cools the incoming water in seconds whenever it triggers the fan.
That said, it required modification to bolt up, and modification to make the shroud happy with the fan.. A bolt in option would be cool. Are you making it strong enough to cool turbo motors? or just for the DE?

Re: sr20 swap questions
Speaking of bolt in stuff, are there any plans for making that curved water pipe coming out of the thermostat?

I think its so nice to see the great strides spriso motorsports make, to engineer parts and make them availible to the roadster community .

Need advice on cold air intake and filter for sr20 de .Is it best to go thur core support and have filter in the grill area and attach filter straight or have a 90 degree bend . Or a short ram and have filter in the engine compartment .Wasnt sure if i would have a turbulence problems with the maf any one can post pics of the set up and details on filter and maf adaptor and tube they use and what works the best . Re: sr20 swap questions
Dave,
You are going to want at least 12" between the MAF and the throttle body to prevent any turbulence issues. We normally put the air filter in the area behind the grill and then cut a hole for the MAF to mount to and then snake it up to the throttle body. Most SR conversions that you will see will have some sort of variation like that.
Here is an example we did on Mike's SR conversion:

Hope that helps,
Michael

Re: sr20 swap questions
Its a FWD Nissan Primera manifold that we shortened to build a flange to make the 90-degree turn to go thru the X-frame. The heat shields have been cut off and the pipes ceramic coated. Lots of work, but it does clear the steering shaft!
