Hey everybody. Just bought a 1969 2000. I should have it in 2 weeks. Here's a pic of it. Top could use some work, but I'm not really planning on taking this out in the rain...strictly a sunny day car.
Can anyone recommend a mechanic for these cars? Tried Banzai Motorworks in Upper Marlboro, but he said he wasn't working on them anymore.

Nothing at this point. Just wondering if anyone in the area "has a guy" they use for maintenance. I'm not planning on changing anything about the car at this point.
Thanks! The car was about an hour away from my parents in Atlanta. I asked my father to go look at it for me. He gave it the thumbs up, so I bought it. He's putting it on a trailer and driving it up to me next week. Hope I get a few nice days while they're here!
We have a pretty good Phone a Friend tech support/parts network going.

Hey Gregg, I'm in Fairfax va for most of the winter and have two roadsters so know enough to help you out in a pinch. There are a couple of us in the Z car club of N Va that have roadsters as well. I'm surprised that Mike at Banzai isn't working roadsters anymore but sorta makes sense as he is usually covered up with Z car projects as that's his speciality. Aji at datsun spirit is very knowledgable about the Z car stuff and datsun in general so could probably do most roadster work based upon that.
Half the fun of ownership is the wreching and learning and there is a great deal of knowledge base on this site just a few clicks away.
Good luck with the new car.
