Mike Unger, how was your weekend? I haven't seen any results but thought you did well?
Care to give a report?

We had a great weekend. This race was a MG focus event so we had a huge field for our race with all the MGBs in our run group 3. On Thursday I think we started with around 65 cars in the field, less were still going by Sunday but it was still huge. Made for some serious traffic in the race. We had a few issues with the car to keep us honest but it ran well. Friday, I had the alternator quit after a black flag all and the battery went dead in one lap after that leaving me stranded on the back straight before the chicane. We replaced the battery and Friday afternoon I came in from qualifying to take tire temps and the passenger floor was full of oil...Oh oh...Turned out the valve cover gasket was split (an easy fix) and the car had a quart of oil in the floor, frame and everywhere. We spent the next 2 hours cleaning the car before the downtown festival and tour of the Old Course. Saturday's race was great and we came in 4th overall. I had a fantastic race with Vic Skimants and his Porsche 356 for 3rd but on the last lap he got by me in traffic and I was stuck on a section of the track that was heavily oiled and ended up sliding sideways so let off and settled for 4th. Vic and I passed each other multiple times during the race. Sunday we finished on the Podium in 3rd overall behind a Ginetta and an Elva. I feel really good about being the first "steel" car in the race and we beat all the really fast Porsches! The Ginetta is 1350 lbs!

Unfortunately my video camera acted up on Thursday so we don't have any video from the weekend. Too bad as this was some exciting racing this year. I will attach a very nice photo of the car by my friend Ron Freudenheim. He took this shot during Sunday morning's race.

Great shot Mike, we were at the track Saturday also took some pic's I will try to post them some from the track (we watch from the heel of the boot) other from downtown and Two Goats.
