31 july went off with my husband to Belgium to catch up a roadster owner. What I didn't know he also owns a 240Z, some DKW/Auto Union/Citroen/etc. Pleasant surprise.

After watching our eyes out our brains we were travelling on to another place in Belgium to meet Raf and his family. Raf ownes 35 Toyota's. All in a good condition with low mileage or something special about the car. I think he most preserve them for a higher value in the future.

After along day we dropped in at our B&B slept 4 hours and hitted off to the ferry in France. We travelled with Raf and his family (Toyota Corolla 4WD) and with Luc (Lexus .?.). On the boat to Dover and on from there to the London Motor Museum.

We had a lot of sun these 2 days, traffic was most of the time 4 row's thick and a lot of que's. But we got save to Billing Aquadrome in Northampton. Where we stood on the camping near a river. The Toyota meeting should be from saturday but the most arrived on sunday. Originally it was a big event for all kind of Japanese cars, but because it was getting to big they sized down and Toyota TEC took over the lead. Keith always been there and still comes over, nowadays with his fairlady. We had a great time with him, Mark and Andy. All people where friendly and curious for the 2 totally big differences at our Fairlady's. At another field was a Classic Car show. Not that mutch cars showing up.

On sunday we left to catch the boat in Dover, which should leave at 20:00. I had to stop for a fuel refill and when we came at the ferry (we should catch the others up at the boat), we were pointed to the customs, they did a bomb explosive swap. When we where at the check in, They told us we missed our ferry, guess who was explosive now! :smt073
After a rebooking (didn't cost money but 2 hours waiting time) I called the owners of another Fairlady in southern Netherlands to tell them I lost my phone (left it at Keith's camping table), missed the boat and because of that we should arrive at 03:30am at there place in the morning, suggesting that was a bit to early we skipped the planned bed for the night and travelled straight home. We arrived at 06:00 at home, but because we where a day early we didn't brought our homekey and hoped Dennis slept at home and not at his girlfriend. After waking the dog, he started to bark, Dennis came with a sleepy head down to open the door for us. I can tell you now where SSS is standing for... Shit, Shower and Sleep. (kidding). After a half day sleep I still felt a bit wrecked. After 4 days my phone arrived with the mail and at the end of this week I can say it was a bit adventure at the end but we had a great time!
