After owning a roadster for 20 years, Sue and I finally made it to our first show. Even though there were lots of old friends meeting up at the event, it seemed like everybody took time to welcome us! We never felt the awkwardness that newbies to these events usually feel. It was also great to meet so many people face to face that I have talked to over the internet.
Want to especially say thanks to David P. and his wife Karen. Would not have made it to the event nor had as much fun with out their help and encouragement.
Will add some photos to this thread later as we get a chance to upload them.

Yes. Completely agree.
Our first time too. It felt a little bit like stepping into somebody else's family reunion. But everybody welcomed us with open arms and open beer coolers...
Great group of new friends. Sorry if I don't remember your names.
I can't wait to see all the photos.

here as well! This was a first for me and my son, and we had a good time!
well, I probably had a better time than Matt - being a teenager, his default setting tends to be "bored" - though he was a hoot to watch during the raffle at the banquet.
many thanks to all for the great time and hospitality!
