This thread is to document our trip to Shasta 2014. I hope everyone enjoys reading this as well.
I started my pre trip maintenance on Sunday. Also made some interior door panels. The car hasn't had any for a few years now. All I really have left to do is inventory my travel tool box. I think Jared is starting his pre trip maintenance check list tonight. The plan right now is my wife and I will leave early Friday morning and Jared and his wife will leave late Friday night. We are both trying to miss the heat of driving during the day.
Here is a pic from last year
Also I am looking forward to returning to Dos Geckos
Well, the primer Queen is ready for Shasta! I got quite a bit of good work done last night. She's running smooth and has plenty of fresh grease and oil to keep her happy for a few more miles! I also installed an antenna I picked up on ebay awhile ago... Does anyone know if this is the correct antenna for my 67.5? I'm pretty sure it came off a tall window, but it has does have the satin finish...

Went to the coast after yaks and had a great time watching everyone. The lawn in always great for spectating and talking with people.
The meet and greet was great. A good turn out and lots of food and wine
Well, the old beast ran smoothly through the night. We got into Shasta around 3:30 in the morning and got some good sleep before the show! There were a lot of nice roadsters this year. It was nice to see everyone. I really enjoyed meeting the Carls and hearing about their drive here from Watkins glen.
The street was quite a nice venue...
We found some good parking at the brewery for our annual after the show beers!
The Datsun girls!

Well it was a great show with some very cool cars. I really liked this wooden grill
The awards dinner was packed. Great turn out. We Left the awards dinner a little early and got home a little after 1am. It was a nice night for driving. Thanks to Dave and everyone who put the show on and thanks for adding the new "before the afters" class! Finally our cars had a place to fit in.
